Today, I’d like to share a video from Adam of INO.com. In this video, he share how to use one of the many features in MarketClub, their Smart Scan technology. Using Smart Scan, you can easily spot winning stocks, futures, precious metals, and currencies that meet one of 24 preset scanning criteria, including uptrends or downtrends.

As traders we have 3 potential positions we can take at all times:

We can be long the market
We can be short the market

Automated Forex Trading Systems

Expert Advisors, or Forex Robots, are automated trading systems that not only alert you when trading opportunities arise but can also act on their own on your behalf. They can automatically manage trading accounts and perform tasks such as sending orders directly to the appropriate broker’s server (if you are using more than one broker), adjusting stop loss and trailing stops and taking profits.

There are different types of expert advisors that can be classified according to the application they are designed for. Some are designed to react only to news events and others are active continuously. They make use of technical indicators to make trading decisions and are attached to the trading chart of the specific currency pair being traded. These programs function by monitoring different technical indicators and then taking action when market conditions meet the pre-selected values.

Since they are able to analyze a wide range of factors that influence trade instantaneously and are not subject to emotional influences, they can produce a very successful trading system. A very simple expert advisor may be programmed in this way – “If the 9 and 20 day moving averages (MA) cross with the 9 day MA above the 20 MA and the RSI is higher than 50 then open a long position (buy).”
